Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art (NGCA) is delighted to announce Spatial Objects, the second of two exhibitions by Dan Holdsworth at the venue, showcasing contrasting visions of epic landscapes in the digital age.
Presented at a monumental scale in the pure RGB colours of all digital screens, Spatial Objects presents a series of sculptural works each of a single data point that marks a GPS co-ordinate from the dramatic volcanic landscape of America’s deepest lake, Crater Lake in the western US. The works make the virtual space of the digital realm seem startlingly real.
